About The Role

Days of Working: Monday to Friday

We are seeking an accomplished and proactive Portfolio Director to lead the delivery of high-quality Total Facilities Management (TFM) services across a portfolio of large national and regional accounts within workplace environments, mainly within the London region.

This role goes beyond traditional service provider relationships, championing a workplace experience-led strategy that enhances how spaces support client business outcomes, employee engagement, and organisational performance. You will act as a strategic partner to clients-aligning FM delivery with their workplace, culture, and growth ambitions.

You will oversee the delivery of integrated FM services (hard and soft), drive operational excellence, and ensure strong commercial performance, while creating progressive, experience-led workplaces that differentiate OCS in the market and support sustained account growth.

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Lead a workplace experience strategy across the portfolio, ensuring FM services contribute to client goals such as talent attraction, retention, productivity, and wellbeing
  • Move relationships from service delivery to strategic partnership, embedding innovation, user experience insights, and continuous improvement
  • Oversee a portfolio of large national and regional accounts, ensuring consistency of approach while tailoring solutions to individual client needs
  • Drive initiatives that integrate technology, data, and service design to enhance workplace environments
  • Push the boundaries of service excellence through innovation and continuous improvement
  • Oversee strategic and account development plans across all FM contracts within your portfolio
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless, high-quality service delivery and timely resolution of issues
  • Act as a senior escalation point and trusted advisor to clients
  • Build strong, long-term partnerships based on trust, value, and shared objectives
  • Lead regular performance reviews, using insight to identify opportunities to enhance both service delivery and workplace experience
  • Identify and deliver opportunities to expand service scope and enhance value across accounts
  • Develop and present proposals aligned to workplace strategy, innovation, and client outcomes
  • Support retention, renewals, and new business growth across the portfolio
  • Ensure robust succession planning and talent development across the business unit
  • Ensure all services are delivered within budget and contractual requirements
  • Maintain strong P&L oversight across the portfolio, identifying efficiencies and value creation opportunities
  • Provide clear, insightful financial and operational reporting to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and industry standards
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational and commercial risks
You should meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum of five years' experience at a senior level in operational management, ideally within facilities management
  • Proven experience managing a complex portfolio of multi-service accounts
  • Strong leadership capability across Total Facilities Management (hard and soft services)
  • Demonstrable experience in driving transformation, workplace innovation, and contract evolution
  • Strong commercial acumen with full P&L accountability
  • Advanced financial analysis capability
  • Experience within workplace environments, particularly corporate head office settings
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels with a collaborative, forward-thinking approach
