Your Mission

We are currently hiring a Platform Engineer (Dataiku SME) to help us scale and support our Data Science ecosystem, specifically the Dataiku DSS platform, across Toyota Group companies.

You'll join a growing centralized team focused on enabling internal teams to build faster, more reliable ML and data workflows using Dataiku, while also ensuring the platform remains secure, stable, and aligned with enterprise standards.

This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on platform ownership, automation and stakeholder enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert (SME) for the Dataiku DSS platform supporting, scaling and optimizing its use across the Toyota ecosystem
• Build and maintain reusable components, templates, plugins, and integrations within Dataiku
• Collaborate with cloud, network, application and architecture teams to ensure stable, secure and scalable deployments
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts and engineers to support ML workflows, governance and automation
• Support internal user onboarding and enablement through documentation, training and proactive support
• Continuously improve monitoring, CI/CD and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, Git, API workflows)
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing around best practices, governance and platform use

Your Profile

• You have 3-6 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or data engineering (however, even if you don't meet the years but feel confident on your skills, we would love to review your application!)
• You've worked extensively with Python and are confident writing scripts and automation around data workflows
• You have hands-on experience with Dataiku DSS, ideally including administration, integration or plugin development
• You are familiar with AWS or another major cloud provider (Azure, GCP) and have experience with services like S3, Lambda, API Gateway
• You're comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams from cloud infra to business users
• You enjoy building platforms that are scalable, maintainable and easy to use for others
• You're proactive, communicative and solutions-oriented. In essence, someone who takes ownership and is happy to learn
• You're fluent in English; other European or Japanese languages are a plus

Nice to Have

• Dataiku certifications (Core Designer, MLOps, Advanced Designer, Developer)
• Familiarity with the Toyota Production System or Toyota Way
• Experience supporting Data Science or MLOps environments in an enterprise setting
• Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes

Location & Contract

• Zaventem, Belgium - Hybrid (2+ days onsite)
• Contract: Freelance or Full-time (open to discussion)
• Candidates must be based in the EU or open to relocation. Visa sponsorship available for the right candidate.
