It's why we're looking for someone who's just as committed as we are, to push for genuine change and bring our ambition of Ecological Transformation to life.We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.Plant ManagerLocation: Wicklow (Greystones, Knockrobin, The Murrough PS, Rathnew PS, Ashford PS, Rathdrum WWTP)Contract Type: PermanentWork Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pmBackground:As a dynamic and progressive company, we encourage our employees to be ambitious and forward thinking so if you are seeking continued growth and have a drive to progress within an organisation Veolia Ireland can offer you career enhancement opportunities and the learning and development supports to achieve your goals.The successful candidate will manage WasteWater treatment plants and pumping stations in the Wicklow region.Veolia Operates and Maintains these sites on behalf of Uisce Eireann, and require a strong site lead to oversee the day to day elements of the site management.Day to day of the role:Responsible for all aspects of the contract deliverable to the Client including but limited to:Coordinate the day to day management of a team of technicians on-siteTrouble-shooting and high-level investigation of utility plant equipment faults and failures - root cause analysisCarry out planned preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance as required Ensure PMs are completed on timeLead continuous improvement projectsGood knowledge and understanding of CMMS systemsDevelop PMs and Job Plans as well as SOPs for plant equipment.Review maintenance programme periodically to ensure optimal uptime levels are achievedSupport and comply with all safety proceduresOrganise and manage subcontractorsCompile monthly site reportingAttend liaison meetings with clientActively lead and promote a culture of Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement in conjunction with QHSE teamMaximize the performance of the site through development and implementation of cost control and site optimisation programmesImplementation of contract variations from the employerRequired skills for this role:Senior mechanical/electrical tradesperson with people management experience or Engineering background with operations and maintenance experience (maintenance manager etc.)Operational experience on a water treatment site (Desirable)Management experience on a water/wastewater site (Desirable)Previous experience on a large operational water/wastewater treatment plant (Desirable)Effectively manage time and resources to deliver on operational timelines within budget constraints (Essential)Good communication skills, and people management skillsDesirable: Self-motivated individual with high achievement prospectsPlease note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national , you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
