Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Kettering (Northamptonshire, UK)
Contract Type: Permanent - 3x8 shift (5 day per week)
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our equipment and facilities. You will play a key part in minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance strategies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and systems (Conveyors, Pumps, Motors, Gearboxes, Chains, Belts, Bearings)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatical and automation issues and implement effective solutions.
- Monitor equipment performance and propose improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and external suppliers to ensure timely interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Completed apprenticeship NVQ level 3 or similar in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, automation (PLC Siemens, Toshiba & Allan Bradley - AC/DC drives - SCADA)
- Ability to read technical drawings and use diagnostic tools.
- Good problem solving skills and a hands on approach.
