Panoramic Associates are proud to be working with a well-established local authority in the Northern Home Counties to recruit a Planning Solicitor to join their experienced in house legal team.

This is a permanent role offered on a predominantly remote basis, with in person attendance required only twice per month for evening Planning Committee meetings.

• Salary: £43,621 - £57,142 per annum (dependent on experience)
• Car Allowance: Up to £3,000 for candidates with strong local government experience
• Welcome Bonus: 10% of the starting salary

Role

As Planning Solicitor, you'll play a key role in supporting the council's planning and development functions. You'll advise on a range of planning and highways matters, ensuring the authority operates lawfully and effectively in these areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling a varied caseload of planning law matters, including drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements
• Providing clear, practical legal advice on planning and highways issues
• Supporting and attending Planning Committees (two evenings per month)
• Advising on planning enforcement matters, including the drafting of enforcement notices

About You

• 3-5 years PQE as a Planning Solicitor (or equivalent experience)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of planning law
• Previous experience within a local authority
• Experience advising on highways law
