Job Description
Overview 
Our client is seeking a Planning Obligations Officer on a contract basis to support the delivery, monitoring, and enforcement of planning obligations, including Section 106 agreements and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). The role ensures development contributes to local infrastructure and community priorities.
Responsibilities- Manage and monitor planning obligations, maintaining accurate records and databases.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to support delivery of obligations.
- Support the collection and allocation of financial contributions.
- Interpret and apply legal agreements and related policy documents; track financial data; manage multiple workstreams.
- Provide clear communication with developers, solicitors, and council teams to ensure obligations are understood and delivered.
- Experience in planning, CIL administration, or development management, or transferable skills from legal administration, finance, project coordination, or compliance roles.
- Experience handling complex data, financial tracking, or compliance processes.
- Ability to interpret technical, legal, or policy documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Confidence working with stakeholders and resolving queries.
- Good IT skills, including database and spreadsheet management.
Rate: around £25 per hour umbrella. Contract running until at least end of December. Hybrid working with generally 2 days per week in the office.
