FutureGen Recruitment is working with a leading planning consultancy seeking a Planning Director to lead and grow its Southampton/SouthCoast operation.
This is a senior strategic appointment suited to an MRTPIplanner with strong market presence, commercial drive and leadershipcapability. The Planning Director will take responsibility for driving businessgrowth, securing major instructions, managing senior client relationships andbuilding a high-performing regional team.
The RoleThe Planning Director will be responsible for both operational leadership and business expansion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Settingand delivering the South Coast growth strategy
- Securingnew work, strengthening market presence and expanding client accounts
- Managingsenior client relationships, including developer and investor accounts
- Overseeingproject profitability, operational performance and team resourcing
- Leadingmajor appeals and Local Plan examinations
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing senior planners and future leaders
- Actingas a visible figurehead for the business within the regional developmentmarket
