Job Description

The Planning & Logistics Supervisor will oversee and manage logistics operations to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the manufacturing sector. The role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of supporting operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods in Northallerton.

This 9-month FTC opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing business. As a medium-sized company, they focus on delivering high-quality products and services to their clients while maintaining efficient operational processes.

Description

  • Supervise logistics operations to ensure seamless daily operations.
  • Oversee the coordination of shipments, ensuring on-time delivery to clients.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory control.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any logistical issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise logistics processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics performance metrics.
  • Support team development by providing training and guidance where needed

Profile

A successful Planning & Logistics Supervisor should have:

  • Experience in import/export and logistics environments.
  • Strong cross collaboration skills with the ability to manage and support multiple departments.
  • Previous experience within transport, 3PL and fleet operations.
  • Proven knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in logistics software.
  • A strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.

Job Offer

  • Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000.
  • Fixed-term contract of 40 hours per week until March 2027.
