Job Description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our Corporate Planning Team as a Planning and Improvement Manager reporting to the Head of Planning and Improvement.

You will work alongside leaders with a key portfolio covering Paediatrics and Neonatology, Maternity, Medicine and DME. You will also support the implementation of our new 3 year transformation plan supporting driving transformation and improvement in how we deliver care, developing strategy, supporting system-wide collaboration, and the development of innovative care models.

We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds with a proven track record in strategy work/ transformation or operations, whether from the public sector or consultancy background. Significant strategic or operational planning experience within the NHS or another complex public sector organisation is essential alongside a high level of interpersonal, strategic and technical skills.

This role will require someone to work independently across the organisation and with our leaders and teams to ensure all our strategies and implementation plans are aligned internally and within our System partners where applicable.
