Role OverviewOrwell Healthcare is seeking to recruit Physiotherapist for our facility in Rathgar, Dublin 6. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate and dedicated professionals who are committed to delivering high quality, person centred care. As a key member of our care team, the main role is to provide high standard, person centred individual care and rehabilitation services to residents/clients with a focus on promoting independence and improving quality of life through the services available in Orwell Healthcare.
Professional Intergrity- To operate in accordance with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007 and other relevant legislation.
- Be familiar with the policies and procedures of Orwell Healthcare relevant to the role as a Physiotherapist.
- To maintain a level of professional integrity in accordance with Orwell Healthcare policies and procedures, employment contract, philosophy of care and mission statement.
- Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy
- CORU registration as a Physiotherapist
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- The desire to be part of a team
- Genuine passion for working in healthcare and to provide person centred care
- Experience with Neuro/Rehab and Acquired Brain Injury an advantage
- Good level of spoken and written English
- Assess residents and develop, implement, monitor, and review physiotherapy and rehabilitation goals.
- Support residents with acquired brain injury (ABI) to maximise independence, wellbeing, and quality of life through person centred rehabilitation programmes.
- Deliver individual and group physiotherapy interventions using evidence based techniques.
- Educate residents and their families on therapy programmes and health conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve rehabilitation outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and report changes in residents' conditions to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Provide moving and handling advice, undertake baseline and post fall assessments, and support the management of long term care residents.
- Liaise with external agencies and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in restraint reviews, audits, and other quality improvement activities as required.
- To maintain the privacy and dignity of the residents.
- To work within statutory policies & procedures of Orwell Healthcare.
- Strong physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting individuals with ABI, cognitive impairment, or responsive behaviours.
- Good manual handling and mobility support skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational and record keeping skills.
