Catering Assistant - Philpotts Colmore Row, Birmingham

Various shifts Monday - Friday between 6am - 16:30pm.

£12.75 per hour dependent on age.

Role Overview

• Assist in maximising sales and profit by carrying out allocated tasks to contribute to the continuous improvement of the store and staff and provision of friendly, efficient service to customers, colleagues and visitors.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
• Prepare a variety of food items to the highest standards, in order to meet customer demand.
• Ensure that all areas of the shop and food products are displayed in a clean, tidy and attractive manner.
• Seek to maximise sales and profitability within the store.
• Work as a team with the Store Manager and other Team Members.
• Report all customer complaints to the manager on duty.
• Comply with relevant legislation and health and food safety responsibilities as defined during induction and training.

Skills & Experience Essential

• Basic education (numeracy and literacy).

Desirable

• NVQ level 2-3 in retail skills, customer care (or similar).
• Previous cash handling experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
