Job Title: Personal Tax SeniorLocation: Waterloo, LondonPackage: £40,000-£55,000 , hybrid working, standard holiday, pension, and moreWorking hours: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5:30pm
Personal Tax Senior Job Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, acting as the primary point of contact for both compliance and advisory matters.
- Prepare and review Self Assessment tax returns for individuals, directors, sole traders and partnerships, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Provide personal tax planning advice, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, remuneration and pension planning.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and advise clients on available reliefs, allowances and tax-efficient strategies.
- Handle HMRC enquiries and correspondence, resolving technical tax issues on behalf of clients.
- Work closely with the accounts team to deliver integrated tax advice and support clients with complex tax matters, including residency and domicile where required.
- Review and supervise the work of junior team members, providing mentoring and technical guidance.
- Keep up to date with changes in UK tax legislation while developing strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional advisory services.
- CTA or ATT qualifications are advantageous
- Strong technical expertise across UK personal tax
- A minimum of 3 years Personal Tax experience. More experienced candidates can be considered for higher roles
- Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions driven
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Salary depending on experience, and level. Ranging from £40,000-£55,000
- 20 days holiday (increases to 23 after 3 years' service, increasing each year to a maximum of 25 days).
- 25 days holiday for Managers & Senior Managers.
- We do close from COB on 23rd December over the Christmas period This is not taken from your annual leave, it is given to employees.
- Maternity - better than Statutory 6 weeks full salary, 6 weeks half salary then SMP.
