A well-established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Personal Tax Manager to join its expanding tax team. Your new role

ou'll take responsibility for a portfolio of personal tax clients whilst supporting partners and senior leaders on a variety of advisory projects.Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of personal tax compliance services
  • Advising clients on a range of personal tax planning matters
  • Reviewing tax returns and associated computations
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and HMRC
  • Supporting and developing junior members of the team
  • Overseeing workflow, deadlines and client service standards
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders on complex tax matters
  • Contributing to business development and relationship-building activities

The role offers an excellent blend of compliance, advisory and people management responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally be ATT and/or CTA qualified and have proven experience working within personal tax in an accountancy practice environment.You'll also demonstrate:

  • Strong technical personal tax knowledge
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • A proactive and commercial approach to client service
  • The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
