Permanent Fostering & Adoption Panel Advisor - SouthendLocation: Southend-on-SeaSalary per annum: £53,460 - £58,959 per annumWorking Arrangements: Hybrid Working AvailableBenefits: Relocation Package Available (up to £8,000)Pertemps are seeking an experienced Fostering & Adoption Panel Advisorto join Southend's Children's Social Care service on a permanent basis.Key Duties:
- Provide professional advice and guidance to Adoption and Fostering Panels.
- Coordinate all panel arrangements, ensuring meetings are effectively planned and managed.
- Ensure panels run smoothly and that all actions, recommendations, and reports are completed within required timescales.
- Maintain the central list of panel members, ensuring sufficient capacity to meet service demands.
- Oversee the approval process for foster carers and support early permanence decision-making.
- Promote and support a range of family placement options, including fostering, adoption, and permanence arrangements.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for children.
- Ensure panel processes comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.
- Support high-quality family placement services through effective panel governance and oversight.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of fostering and adoption services.
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Extensive experience within fostering and adoption services.
- Strong knowledge and experience of Adoption and Fostering Panel processes, including Panel Advisor responsibilities.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in performance management and quality assurance within Children's Services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fostering legislation, regulations, and statutory guidance.
- Experience working with children and families, preferably within a management or leadership capacity.
- Ability to build effective relationships with service users, social care professionals, senior managers, and partner agencies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Committed to achieving positive outcomes and permanence for children and young people.
- Competitive salary of £53,460 - £58,959.
