Lead Nurse (Practice, Somerset)

Dream Medical is working with a respected practice in Somerset that urgently requires a full time Lead Nurse. An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Nurse to join a busy practice based across two sites with a combined patient size of just over 11,000.

Responsibilities

• Manage the nursing team comprising Practice Nurses, an HCA and a Phlebotomist
• Provide support and mentorship to team members
• Audit, clinical governance and infection prevention and control
• Lead treatment of patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes
• Assist the partner in training across the practice

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Lead Nurse role
• Evidence of team supervision, governance, audit and quality assurance
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and organisational skills
