Xpertise have an urgent requirement, immediate start, outside IR35 for Performance Test Analyst (NFT) - JMeter, SQL, Grafana, Java, Distributed Systems

Candidates must have the following skills and experience:

• JMeter: extensive hands-on experience designing, Scripting and running load, stress, soak and spike tests on large-scale distributed Java applications, including correlation, parameterisation and realistic workload modelling
• Postman: experience validating, debugging and troubleshooting APIs before and during test runs, so issues are isolated early rather than buried in load results
• SQL: strong skills writing complex queries to extract, aggregate and analyse test run results, and to identify trends, regressions and anomalies across runs
• Grafana: hands-on experience building and using dashboards to monitor live tests and interpret results, linking response times, throughput and errors to system resource metrics
• Azure Log Analytics: experience using Log Analytics and KQL to query logs and telemetry, correlating application and infrastructure behaviour with test results
• Java and database performance: a solid understanding of enterprise Java applications (JVM behaviour, garbage collection, thread pools, connection pooling) and how database design, indexing, locking and query plans affect overall performance
• Database expertise: DBA-level skills or strong database knowledge, including reading execution plans, spotting inefficient queries and indexing problems, and diagnosing contention under load
• Distributed systems: a clear understanding of where performance issues occur, such as network latency, service-to-service calls, caching, queuing, resource contention and scaling limits, with the ability to trace a bottleneck through the application, infrastructure and database layers
• Engineering background: experience in development or performance engineering, not just test execution. You know the technology you're testing and can explain why a system behaves the way it does
• Analysis and root cause: strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn raw results into clear findings and practical recommendations
• Stakeholder influence: the confidence and credibility to reason with experienced developers, challenge assumptions and keep investigations focused until the root cause is understood
