PeopleSoft Technical Lead
Location: Hybrid in Barcelona
Work Type: Freelance or full-time
Salary: Up to 75k
We are looking for a PeopleSoft Technical Lead to join an international team and lead the design, development, and integration of a core financial platform used across multiple regions (France, Italy, UK, Belgium, Germany, and the USA). This is a strategic role for someone passionate about technology leadership, architecture, and delivery excellence in PeopleSoft environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation and evolution of the PeopleSoft Financials platform (v9.2+).
- Design and review system architecture, integrations, and solution approaches.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security guidelines.
- Provide hands-on support with technical problem-solving, incident resolution, and solution validation.
- Coordinate a cross-functional squad (5-10 people) working across BAU and project streams.
- Mentor and support developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize the backlog and deliver business value.
- Promote Agile rituals and ensure delivery excellence across the team.
- Monitor delivery velocity and quality, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
️ Technical Skills Required
- Strong expertise in PeopleSoft Financials 9.2+ (AP, AR, Billing, GL, CM, PC, CA).
- Deep knowledge of PeopleCode, PeopleTools 8.60+, Application Designer, and Process Scheduler.
- Experience with Integration Broker, REST APIs, and Swagger.
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Experience in PeopleSoft migrations and upgrades.
- Solid background in PeopleSoft Administration.
- Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
