A well established, mission led charity supporting children across London has an opening for a People Operations Team Leader, sitting at the heart of HR delivery and leading a small operational team while driving structure, consistency and improvement across HR processes, systems and data.
This role will suit someone who enjoys joining the dots, asks why things are happening, and uses data and insight to improve the employee experience while being confident handling complex queries and escalations. You will play a key role during the organisation's growth and system improvement phase as it invests within its People function as it matures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop 2 experienced HR Operations Administrators, providing day to day direction and first line decision making
- Own and oversee the HR ticketing system, handling escalated queries and ensuring a high quality, timely service
- Act as the key interface between HR Ops, HR Manager and wider People leadership
- Use data to identify trends in turnover, retention and recurring issues, translating insight into practical improvement
- Drive greater efficiency across manual HR processes, helping shape smarter workflows and better use of the HR system
- Support and advise on employee relations matters, payroll queries and complex lifecycle activity
- Build credibility with senior stakeholders, including Directors across People, Operations and Recruitment
- Strong background in HR Operations within a complex, multi site environment
- Comfortable leading a small team - light management experience welcome, or readiness to step into a Team Lead role
- Up to date working knowledge of UK employment law and confident handling ER related queries
- Analytical and logical - able to use HR data to spot patterns and recommend change
- Experience improving processes, systems or workflows (HRIS implementation or rollout exposure highly beneficial)
- Gravitas to challenge senior stakeholders constructively
- Confident supporting a non tech savvy workforce with clarity and empathy
