ROLEPURPOSEANDSCOPE

To provide administrative support for the People and Culture team ensuring efficient and effective HR and volunteer processes from onboarding right through to exit. This role requires excellent internal customer service skills and a willingness to help, support and find answers to staff and volunteer queries and questions.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • ToprovideadministrativesupporttothePeopleandCultureTeaminthe recruitment of staff and volunteers.
  • Toassistwiththeonboardingof staffandvolunteers.
  • Toissuelettersanddocumentationtostaffandvolunteers,ensuringcopies are filed in relevant online files.
  • ToupdateHRandvolunteersystems ensuringdataisaccurateand uptodate
  • Toassistinmonitoringandupdating HRandvolunteerrecordssuchastraining, DBS checks or health and safety.
  • TomonitorHRandvolunteere-mailin-boxesandcalendarsrespondingto queries where relevant and sending meeting invites where necessary.
  • TorunreportsfromHR/volunteerssystemsasandwhenrequired.
  • To attend HR/volunteer meetings as and when required which may include occasionaloutofhoursworkforvolunteertrainingsessionsorsocialevents.
  • Tocarryoutanyotherreasonabletasksasdiscussedandagreedwithyourline manager.

  • Undertake specific projects and other ad hoc duties agreed with your line manager,fulfillinganydeadlines,reviewsandreportingproceduresrequired.
  • TakeanactivepartintheQuarterlyreviewprocessandparticipateintraining agreed with your line manager.
  • Recogniseandchampionthelivedexperienceofgrievingchildren,youngpeople and parents within your work.
  • Ensurethehealthandsafetyofallcolleagues,volunteersandvisitorsin accordance with Child Bereavement UK policy.
PERSONSPECIFICATION
  • Located within commutable distance from our office in central Gloucester.
  • Ateamplayerwhoworksflexiblytomeettheneedsoftheorganisation.
  • Excellentorganisationalandtime-managementskills,withtheabilitytoprioritise work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strongwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills.
  • Abilitytoworkquicklyandaccurately withdata.
  • StrongITskills.
  • Driver, with access to own vehicle.
  • Previous experience of working in a charity or HR.
