Job Description
UK Pension Specialist (Part-Time, 12-Month FTC)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Schedule: 3 Days per Week

About the Role

We are working with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a UK Pension Specialist on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This newly created role will support the UK Pensions Manager in the day-to-day management of the company's pension arrangements, ensuring smooth operations, strong governance, and effective project delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a pensions professional to make a meaningful impact in a flexible role, working closely with both internal stakeholders and external advisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheme Administration & Governance
  • Support the effective running of the company's pension scheme, including identifying service improvements, supporting governance processes, and contributing to risk management and GMP equalisation committees.
  • Employee & Member Engagement
  • Respond to pension-related queries from employees and payroll, and assist in delivering clear, informative workshops and communications.
  • Project Management
  • Lead or support key pension initiatives, including regulatory changes such as the Pensions Dashboard and The Pensions Regulator (TPR) updates.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners including trustees, administrators, and advisers to ensure alignment and compliance.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong knowledge of UK pensions legislation, governance, and best practice
  • Experience working with both Defined Benefit (DB) and Defined Contribution (DC) schemes
  • Understanding of company and trustee responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex pension matters clearly
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively on a part-time basis
  • A collaborative, proactive approach and willingness to learn
