Job Description
Senior Pensions Lawyer 8+ PQE Birmingham

A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Pensions Lawyer to join their growing Pensions team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible hybrid working, offering exposure to a broad range of pensions matters across both day-to-day advisory and complex project work.

The Role:
  • Advise on pensions matters for both defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, including trustees, corporates, and public bodies.
  • Manage your own caseload, including complex one-off projects such as risk transfers.
  • Draft detailed deeds and other pension-related documents.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior members of the team.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues across the national team.
  • Stay up to date with pensions law and provide practical, commercial advice to clients.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Qualified solicitor with 8+ years PQE in pensions law.
  • Experience advising on a wide range of occupational pension schemes and related matters.
  • Confident managing advisory projects and client relationships independently.
  • Strong drafting skills for deeds and pension-related documentation.
  • Team player with experience supervising and supporting junior colleagues.
  • Proactive, self-starter with commercial awareness and excellent client skills.
