Job Description

Salary: £28,593 per annum

Hours: Part time - 30 hours / 4 days a week

Reports to: HR Operations Manager

Location: Harlow, Essex. Easily commutable from London Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale Station. We offer a free minibus service to/from Harlow Town Train Station as well as free parking and EV charging on site.

Extra Information: Open to conversation on hybrid, flexible and compressed working arrangements.

About the role:

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join us and act as the payroll lead for Motability Foundation in respect of the application and compliance of payroll and benefits related activities; ensuring the reward systems are managed and controlled effectively, providing advice and guidance to all employees on pay and reward issues.

What you will be doing:
  • Pay and Reward: Collate and submit monthly payroll information and liaise with the payroll supplier to ensure correct and timely payments are made.
  • Produce information for internal and external audits.
  • Provide management information (metrics) monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Support the HR Operations Manager with Gender Pay Gap reporting and activities.
  • Support the administration of all company benefits.
  • Support the HR Operations Manager with the annual pay review cycle.
  • Administration Management: Support the HR Operations team in ensuring all employee life cycle administration tasks are delivered within agreed SLAs.
  • Benefits: Manage the relationships with external suppliers and partners in respect of pay and reward.
  • Support the HR Operations Manager in reviewing benefits at Motability Foundation to enhance this provision.
Your experience:

Must haves:

  • Experience in outsourcing payroll for a company of 150+ employees for a minimum of two years.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HMRC changes impacting pay and reward.
  • A proven track record for gaining and maintaining sound knowledge of company HR policies and procedures.
  • High attention to detail with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and experience of using HR databases.
  • Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience within house payroll provision.
  • Level 3+ CIPP qualification.
