Job Description

As a Payroll administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing various payroll functions. Your responsibilities will include:

Payroll (CIS):
  • Cross-referencing weekly time sheets with attendance registers.
  • Addressing discrepancies with line managers.
  • Handling deductions and notifications.
  • Generating weekly CIS payments reports.
  • Notifying payroll of new starters and leavers.
  • Completing cross check monthly PAYE attendance reports.
General Administration:
  • Managing the sign-in book.
  • Support with pension administration
  • Support with benefits administration
  • Support the team leader with confidential information for payroll advice meetings
Holidays and Sickness:
  • Maintaining holiday calendars.
Typical Skills & Experience - Essential
  • Payroll administration experience.
  • Strong numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • Confidential and trustworthy.
  • CIPP qualification or working towards.
  • Construction or utilities sector experience.
  • Experience supporting HR administration.

  • 100% payroll processed by deadline.
  • Payroll accuracy >99.8%.
  • Employee payroll queries resolved within 2 working days.
  • Pension submissions completed on time.
  • Continuous reduction in payroll processing errors.

This is an integral position within our team. You may be asked to undertake other tasks and carry out any reasonable management request.
