Part-Time Payroll Administrator

Knutsford £31,000-£34,000 FTE - Temporary to Permanent

My client is a hugely successful I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing business based in Knutsford. Due to their ongoing success and growth they have an opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their team on a part time basisKnutsford that is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its team on a part-time basis.

The position will initially be offered on a temporary basis, with the intention of moving to a permanent contract quickly. The role will be 3 days per week with flexibility around working hours.

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of both weekly and monthly payrolls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Updating the payroll database and time management system with starter and leaver information
  • Processing Tax, NI, SSP and SMP payments and deductions
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
  • Responding to payroll queries
  • Ensuring payroll information is accurate, up to date and compliant
  • Supporting the wider Payroll/HR function as required

The successful candidate:

  • A minimum of 2 years' payroll experience
  • Strong payroll knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience of Sage 50 would be beneficial but is not essential

As the position is initially temporary, you should be available to start at short notice.
