Zeal is the world's leading value added service provider for payment service providers. We enable brick and mortar retailers to embed loyalty and other innovative solutions on their card machines.

Role Summary

You will be Zeal's ambassador to UK payment leaders, acquirers, payment facilitators (PayFacs), Independent Sales Organisations (ISOs) and referral partners. Your mission is simple: assist our partners to cement Zeal into their payment businesses. Success in this role requires a strong personal network within the UK payments ecosystem, a strategic mindset and hands on sales discipline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and sign partners: Prospect, pitch and close deals with ISOs, targeting ISOs with significant active MIDs.
  • Design commercial models: Build revenue share and pricing structures aligned with partner needs. Negotiate contract terms and manage legal reviews as required.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: Own partner relationships from initial outreach through onboarding, and activation. Conduct meetings per week (in person or virtual) to drive pipeline and close deals.
  • Activate ISOs: Work closely with partners to ensure they upload their merchants (MIDs) on Zeal's payment service provider portal.
  • Grow revenue per partner: Promote additional products from the Zeal suite to partners and their merchants; aim for multiple products per MID to maximise wallet share.
  • Track performance: Use CRM to maintain accurate records of partner interactions and pipelines, reporting on KPIs such as pipeline size, conversion rates, active merchants and revenue .
  • Collaborate internally: Coordinate with commercial team to ensure maximising ISO acquisition. Provide market feedback to inform product development and go to market strategy.
  • Represent Zeal externally: Attend industry events, roundtables and networking forums to promote Zeal's value proposition and generate leads. Stay abreast of regulatory and competitive changes in UK payments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of recent ISO/Referral sales experience in payments or fintech; proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Have a deep routed knowledge of the UK payment market, understanding how the acquirers, payment application, ISO and terminal manufacturers work together to deliver solutions.
    • Demonstrated success closing B2B partnerships and negotiating revenue sharing agreements.
    • Strong understanding of payment processors, gateways, acquirers and importance of value added services.
    • Well connected within the UK ISO community, with relationships across ISOs, merchant acquirers and hospitality payment providers.

  • Skills & attributes:
    • Strategic thinker who can translate partner insights into actionable plans; adaptable, resilient and comfortable operating in a scale up environment.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to build trust at all levels, from ISO owners to C suite executives to Product teams.
    • Strong organisational and pipeline management skills; disciplined in CRM use and reporting.
    • Self starter with a bias for action and high energy; thrives on closing deals and delivering results.
    • Based in the UK with full right to work; available to start no later than October 2025.
