Role Overview

The Patient Journey Partner (PJP) is at the centre of the new Roche organisation, directly accountable for delivering better outcomes for patients, their community, the ecosystem and the organisation, faster. The PJP is the primary point of contact and the local face of Roche, partnering closely with all stakeholders who directly touch the patient journey in a given therapeutic or disease area.

Mission and Responsibilities
  • Drive the field based realisation of disease area outcomes, leveraging local network expertise to deliver a 'Triple Win' for patients, the ecosystem and Roche.
  • Promote engagement and gather related insights to inform the development and delivery of therapeutic area outcomes.
  • Act as a system thinker, overseeing the patient journey in its entirety and identifying shared purpose among stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted partner and the primary (though non exclusive) point of contact between stakeholders and Roche, co creating solutions in partnership with external stakeholders in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Uncover opportunities to transform outcomes for patients via the Triple Win, drawing on local and network expertise and collaborating with other PJPs where needed.
  • Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to realise sustainable access to healthcare for patients across the patient journey for products post license.
  • Ensure great experiences whenever stakeholders in the ecosystem engage with Roche employees, products and services.
  • Live the Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst (VACC) model.
  • Steer Roche's products through their lifecycle and support appropriate use in a factual and balanced manner.
  • Strategically prioritise projects and initiatives and deliver on them to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including experience partnering with Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) and organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare sector and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong business acumen and a focus on customer experience excellence.
  • Understanding of patient journey(s) and related treatments in defined disease area(s), enabling engagement at the specialist level.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of Roche's present portfolio and future pipeline, enabling work on future based solutions.
  • Good understanding of medical affairs strategies and tactics, including clinical research.
  • Ability to understand and leverage digital means and tools; experience in agile ways of working and practical understanding of digital innovation methodologies is desired.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding partnering capabilities, including coaching, consulting, and the ability to deeply listen, question and understand.
  • Growth mindset - able to learn and unlearn quickly, take risks, experiment, and share knowledge with others inside and outside Roche.
  • Self managed and self directed, with a strong display of integrity in everything you do.
  • Fluent in English.
  • University degree (scientific, economic or business). An advanced degree in Life Science and/or MBA is a plus.
  • Full clean driving licence.
