Summary

SailGP is seeking a full-time Host Venue & Event Partnerships Manager to join the team for nine months, who will provide first class day-to-day relationship management to SailGP host venue partners, event partners and local stakeholders across the race calendar.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading on relationship management and rights delivery for specific host venue agreements across the calendar, supporting and guiding our local partner managers and managing local event partners.

Projects include development of hospitality programs, partnership activation plans across digital, marketing, communications and at events and significant reporting following each event.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the partnership delivery for selected Host Venue partners across the SailGP Calendar.
  • Lead on the management and delivery of selected event partners including onboarding process, status management, full scale activation management and post event reporting.
  • Support Partnership Managers and freelancer support in local markets to ensure integration within the global process and ensuring consistently high standards of our global partnership management.
  • Support the Senior Manager - Host Venues & Event Partners in managing global branding process, broadcast and digital deliverables, post event reporting, VVIP process and programs, ticketing programs, photography and managing the local event rights and benefits master matrix.
  • Work with the hospitality team on guest programs and event requirements. Prepare any partner facing event and hospitality program information and schedules, including Partner VIP programs.
  • Work with internal SailGP departments, ensuring all contractual rights and benefits are maximized and delivered.
  • Supporting the development of global and local Host Venue promotional campaigns and creative activations.
  • Deliver activations and VIP programs at the highest level during race weekends.
  • Other duties as reasonably required by SailGP for the successful performance of the role.

Background Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant rights holder experience within a client-focused environment (preferably in the international sporting industry) with proven experience in partnerships and brand collaborations.
  • Strong marketing mindset with a deep understanding of brand strategy, audience engagement, and integrated campaign planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualise and deliver creative, high impact activations that drive awareness, engagement and ROI.
  • Experience managing global level partnerships and/or government relationships, being direct point of contact and running own partner meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and partners alike.Highly creative thinker, with the ability to translate brand objectives into innovative, culturally relevant ideas and experiences.
  • Strong project management capabilities, able to manage multiple campaigns and partnerships simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail with ability to create high level partner facing documents.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate computer programs including google drive and google applications, Keynote, and other online tools.

Location

Based in the UK with a requirement of at least 3 days per week in the London office.
