Overview

The Global Channel Partner Sales (GCPS)team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people, and organizations to achieve more.

As a Partner Solution Architect, you will guide the development of business solutions, provide deep technical insights, and accelerate the growth of Microsoft Tech priorities within our Partner Ecosystem.

Join our team as a Partner Solution Architect and play a pivotal role in guiding our most significant partners to designing and implementing innovative scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architectures that meet market needs. By leveraging your skills in technical leadership, cloud computing, software development, problem solving and systems architecture, you will drive business impact by enabling digital transformation, optimizing performance, and driving innovation through the effective use of cloud technologies. You will work closely with partners to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, and guide them through architectural design sessions, developing proof of concepts, and help them transition from legacy systems to modern cloud environments, ensuring that their solutions are optimized for performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
  • OR master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND technical consulting, technical consultative selling, product development, or related technical/sales experience
  • Previous related experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with a deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging cloud trends like generative AI and SaaS (Software as a Service) services.
  • Strong background and in-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, with a focus on Microsoft's cloud offerings (Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365).
  • Strong working knowledge of AI in business environments specifically Low code solutions
  • Minimum L300 knowledge in ERP and CRM systems .
  • Strong business Analyst skills and ability to work the C- Suite level within and organisation to build out the AI business solution for our partners
  • L300 Knowledge of the Power Platform suite
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as a Partner Solution Architect will be to:

  • Design Cloud Architectures - Ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs, allowing businesses to handle growth, and changing demands efficiently.
  • Lead Architectural Design Sessions - Facilitate the creation of effective and efficient cloud solutions through collaborative planning and design sessions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. This collaboration fosters innovation and problem-solving, leading to better-designed systems.
  • Develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots - Demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of proposed cloud solutions, gaining partner buy-in and driving adoption. These prototypes help validate ideas and identify potential issues before full-scale implementation, saving time and resources.
  • Provide Technical Guidance and Support - Ensure successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions, enhancing partner satisfaction and solution performance, to maximize the value of partner' cloud investments and adapt efficiently to challenges.
  • Transition Partner from Legacy Systems - Facilitate smooth transitions to modern cloud environments, improving efficiency and reducing operational risks for partners, to help them stay competitive by leveraging the latest technologies and cloud best practices.
  • Partner Enablement and Business Acumen - Experience in offering guidance to the broader technical team to ensure that technical pre-sales, deployment, and consumption are part of solution development efforts and the ability to coach the partner on building resilience to technical issues and dealing with competition and and/or discuss Microsoft products and articulate the value proposition of Microsoft Cloud services to partners by understanding of business processes and the ability to identify opportunities where technology can drive business value. Experience in translating technical concepts into business benefits.
  • Ensure strong integration with wider channel ecosystem within Microsoft , work closely with the PSS and PDM sales roles to drive positive outcomes mapped to Microsoft strategy across the UK & I area
