Nursery Teacher (QTS) - Monday Only - Full Academic Year
Location: Elmbridge
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Salary: £150-£180 per day
Contract: Part Time (Every Monday, Term Time Only)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Teacher to join our Friendly Early Years team every Monday throughout the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EYFS practitioner who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and helping young children thrive during their crucial early years.

Role

As the Nursery Teacher, you will lead a well supported Nursery class of children aged 3 5 years old, deliver high quality EYFS provision, support children's learning and development through play based activities, and maintain a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Working hours are 7:45 am - 4:30 pm each Monday, allowing time for preparation, record keeping, and classroom organisation. There is no marking required as part of this role.

Environment
  • Class size currently 26 children, with numbers expected to increase
  • Age range: 3 5 years
  • Teacher supported by 3 support staff within the classroom
  • Inclusive setting with children of varying needs and abilities (one child with high level SEN and non verbal, supported by a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant)
  • Nappy changing duties form part of the role

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a Primary School Nursery
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Understanding of child development and early learning
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a wider Early Years team
