Working hours: Part-time, 0.5WTE, 19.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Remuneration: In line with HSE pay scales
Location: Remote, based in Republic of Ireland
SH:24 are seeking a suitably qualified medical practitioner to join their team to provide online PrEP care to the study participants from July 2026 to end of June 2027, in line with NCHD changeover dates in Ireland, to enable those who wish to continue receive their PrEP care online.
This role will include provision of participant care within the online platform, assessment of patient -completed healthcare assessments, review of results, communication with patients, provision of prescriptions for HIV PrEP and doxyPEP where appropriate, referral back to their face-to-face service and liaison with face-to-face service where necessary.
The successful candidate will be part of a progressive, highly innovative team, benefiting from mentoring from senior clinicians in sexual health. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to attend and contribute to our daily clinical team meeting which is an essential element of our clinical governance structure.
What we need from youYou'll be an experienced and appropriately qualified medical practitioner with full registration with the Medical Council of Ireland and residing in Ireland.
Demonstrable experience in the management of sexually transmitted infections and completion of the STI Foundation Theory Course (British Association of Sexual Health and HIV) or equivalent are desirable.
Experience of online health service delivery is an advantage.
You'll have an awareness of issues affecting young and vulnerable people and the ability to communicate comfortably and coherently with services users, particularly in matters relating to treatment, prevention, sexuality and personal relationships. You will be up-to-date on all HSE mandatory training.

You'll be trustworthy, discreet, and highly conscious of the importance of maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of personal information.
You'll be IT literate and willing to learn how to use new systems, with an acute awareness of security issues and willing to comply with security requirements.
You'll work within your scope of practice and area of competency, consistently following SH:24 guidelines and seeking assistance when you are unsure.
