Pay: £20.09 per hour

Responsible for the strategic delivery of the Parks & Green Spaces function, ensuring all public open spaces are safe, clean, and well maintained.

Lead the Parks & Green Space teams, ensuring high standards of service delivery in line with statutory and best practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all operational teams for efficient and effective service delivery.
• Ensure all service function income and expenditure are effectively managed in line with council standing orders.
• Maintain a high level of professional competence, knowledge and understanding of regulatory practices, procedures, and issues for the service area.
• Manage section procurement as necessary.
• Represent the section and the council in a professional manner via the service function.
• Deliver project management initiatives as necessary.
• Understand and produce service performance data.
• Lead development and optimisation of business systems and opportunities to increase income from existing services.
• Understand and drive digital processes at C&E to realise service efficiencies.
• Maintain strong relationship networks with key partners, agencies, business clients and relevant third party agents.
• Keep abreast of evolving landscapes relative to all service functions, especially commercial opportunities, joint enterprises, legal revisions, and industry best practice.
