About the Role

We are now seeking a dedicated Clinical Negligence Paralegal to join our expanding Leeds team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading solicitors and partners on complex and often life altering cases.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, empathy towards clients, and the ability to manage a busy workload efficiently. In return, you will gain invaluable experience in a supportive learning environment, with career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated support to solicitors, fee earners, and partners.
  • Assist with cases from initial client instructions through to conclusion and archiving, in line with Chadwick Lawrence's procedures.
  • Obtain and prepare file documentation.
  • Communicate effectively and sensitively with clients, medical experts, counsel, and other professionals.
  • Take detailed notes during client meetings, conferences, and court attendances.
  • Coordinate billing and disbursement processes in collaboration with the Accounts Team.
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Keep up to date with developments in clinical negligence law and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Contribute to the team's business development initiatives.

Experience
  • Previous experience as a paralegal or in a similar client facing role, ideally within clinical negligence or litigation. This is preferred, but not essential.
  • Graduate, preferably with a Law related degree and/or professional qualification such as the LPC.
