Painter Decorator

Painter Decorator - Gillingham (6-Month Temporary Contract) We are currently recruiting an experienced Painter Decorator to work on a 6-month temporary contract based in Gillingham. This role is PAYE and offered via Pertemps. As a Painter Decorator, you will be responsible for internal and external painting and decorating duties, ensuring a high standard of finish across all works. This Painter Decorator position is ideal for someone reliable, skilled, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Key Details

• Location: Gillingham, Medway, Kent

• Contract Type: Temporary - c6 months

• Pay Rate: £16.38 per hour (PAYE via Pertemps)

• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

• Overtime: Saturdays may be required

Painter Decorator Responsibilities

• Carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard

• Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming

• Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

• Following health and safety guidelines at all times

Painter Decorator Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter Decorator

• Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship

• Good customer service skills as you will work inside customers accomodation

• Ability to work to deadlines

• Own tools preferred

• Basic DBS check required (or willingness to undertake one)
