Painter & Decorator

Pertemps Maidstone seeks an experienced Painter & Decorator for a temporary, full-time assignment based in Gillingham.

You will join a facilities management team, delivering high-quality decoration and maintenance across various buildings. The role involves surface preparation, painting, and papering to a professional standard, ensuring all tasks meet strict specifications. This position runs from 01 September to 31 October 2026, with working hours of 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, plus occasional weekend work.

The hourly rate is £16.97 PAYE, paid weekly.

Applicants must possess solid trade skills and a basic DBS check, or be willing to obtain one.

The Role

As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of decorating and maintenance tasks across facilities, ensuring work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior painting and decorating
• Surface preparation including sanding, filling and cleaning
• Applying paint, gloss, varnish and specialist finishes
• Touch-up, repair and maintenance work
• Ensuring all work areas are left clean and tidy
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times
• Delivering excellent customer service and workmanship
