Hays Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Painter to join a busy Housing Executive maintenance contract across the Belfast area. This is a full-time position carrying out planned and responsive maintenance works within social housing properties and communal areas.The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating work to ensure properties are maintained to an excellent standard.Your new role

What you'll need to succeed
Key Responsibilities

• Painting and decorating internal and external surfaces.
• Preparation of surfaces including sanding, filling, scraping, and priming.
• Painting masonry walls and external render finishes.
• Painting window cills, fascia boards, soffits, and fencing.
• Carrying out touch-up and remedial painting works.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and site regulations.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a painting and decorating role.
Valid CSR Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience working within social housing or property maintenance environments.
• Relevant Painting & Decorating qualification.
• Experience carrying out occupied and void property works.
