We're looking for a London-based mid to senior Paid Media Strategist to join our team at Wordbank, working from our central London office on a hybrid schedule - Tuesday through Thursday in our office, Mondays and Fridays remote. Wordbank is a global marketing localization agency that helps streaming brands reach, engage, and retain international audiences.
As our Paid Media Strategist, your mission is to dominate the attention economy. You'll be a strategic growth driver for iconic streaming and entertainment brands, shaping how they connect with global audiences and driving measurable impact on viewership and revenue across SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, and FAST. You'll own performance ROI, build client trust that drives account growth from the inside out, and help shape the trajectory of our Digital services at a key inflection point. This role blends high level campaign strategy, hands on execution, and the cultivation of growth focused client relationships.
You'll bring deep expertise in multi channel B2C video campaigns, paid social and programmatic media, relationship management, and AI forward ways of working. As the strategic go to, you strategise, optimise, and innovate to meet ROI goals. You're a proactive communicator and decisive leader who thrives in ambiguity. Your tech savvy approach will future proof our digital marketing services in the AI age.
This is an initial 6 month contract (£55 K-£60 K annualized base) with strong potential to extend or convert to permanent based on performance and business need.
What You'll OwnPAID MEDIA: Develop and execute impactful international paid media strategies across Meta, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, Amazon Ads, and CTV placements (with a focus on streaming and entertainment clients). Own the "why" and the "how" for our clients, defining account level strategy and owning performance ROI. Champion AI automation workflow improvements to push the boundaries of operational efficiency.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Architect global paid account success, taking full ownership of your portfolio and forging powerful client partnerships. Translate complex paid landscapes into compelling narratives, driving trust through transparency and leading client reviews with deep strategic insights; proactively identifying risks and spotting expansion opportunities that align with client and Wordbank goals.
PROSPECTING: In close collaboration with the Customer Success team, act as a key driver for proposals and client prospecting - identifying and scoping out growth opportunities for current and future streaming clients.
Paid Social Media: Deep expertise in managing complex, high budget B2C video campaigns across multiple social media platforms. You go beyond execution; you own the full funnel strategy and drive measurable results across channels.
Programmatic & Video: Working knowledge of the programmatic and video ecosystems, including CTV, YouTube Ads, and DSP platforms (Amazon DSP a plus). You understand how programmatic fits into a full funnel video strategy.
Entertainment/Streaming Industry: Experience supporting paid strategies for streaming, entertainment, or adjacent media brands is a major plus. Familiarity with the SVOD, AVOD, TVOD, or FAST landscape - or the ability to ramp quickly on a new vertical - means you can challenge briefs, not just execute them.
Reporting & Analytics: Comfortable analysing complex data sets, building reports, and crafting data narratives. Working knowledge of tools like GA4, Looker Studio, GTM, and Sheets/Excel (or equivalents). You turn performance data into clear, actionable decisions that increase ROI.
AI Fluency: An early adopter who actively leverages AI tools. You can identify automation opportunities including manual, repetitive bottlenecks or performance enhancements in your workload.
International Marketing: Experience scaling campaigns across global markets and navigating local cultural nuances.
Search Engine Marketing: Experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
RELATIONSHIP ARCHITECT who forges genuine, lasting client partnerships. You lead with social confidence and warmth - clients don't just respect your expertise - they trust you as a strategic extension of their team.

UK: £55 K £60 K annual base salary + contract benefits.
