A leading manufacturer in the world of personal healthcare products has a new opening. They are looking for a Packaging Development Manager with experience working for a large multinational organisation.
ResponsibilitiesYour role will be to identify, develop and drive implementation of packaging technology solutions that add value to the company and its customers. This will be measured by business parameters such as consumer satisfaction, operations improvement, environmental sustainability, sales growth, and profitability.
- Primarily
responsible for packaging development initiatives related to existing/new items - Responsible
for packaging development initiatives and execution within the UK - Key
roles and responsibilities: Interface with suppliers, customers, and other
internal functions such as Strategic Sourcing, QA, and Finance to develop and
implement packaging in support of customer business objectives - Responsible
for working with suppliers and other external resources to identify potential
design and technology opportunities for packaging - Responsible
for developing and maintaining knowledge of critical consumer and operational
issues as well as key packaging technologies - Work
with suppliers, creative agencies, and other sources to develop a range of
creative options for packaging
- Packaging
technology and/or business/packaging strategy development - Knowledge
of packaging forms, coatings & conversion processes - Strong
technical competencies in packaging science including knowledge of structural
design and manufacturing processes - Experience
with project management tasks and timeline development - Ability
to connect abstract thoughts and ideas and materialise into an actionable
long-term packaging strategy - Experience
working with multi-functional teams to formulate objectives and action plans - Analytical
approach to problem solving and decision making - Excellent
communication and facilitation skills
