Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen to join the Packaging Buying team on a fixed-term contract as a Packaging Buying Co-ordinator. You will drive and support procurement and supply excellence within the team, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate, and effective. Responsibilities include supply and stock management across multiple categories.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Management of stock requirements and orders for agreed categories.
  • Development and maintenance of strong and effective external supplier relationships.
  • Responsibility for agreed NPD and EPD projects on behalf of Packaging Buying, working closely with buyers, cross functionally, and externally with suppliers to deliver initiatives on time.
  • Management of the Run in/Run out of items for agreed categories for NPD/EPD projects.
  • Identify, analyse and implement improvements to optimise buying patterns and stockholding of packaging items, reducing inventory and cost while maintaining availability.
  • Responsibility for the stock take process on behalf of the packaging buying team, including reconciliation, preparation, consolidation and system data entry.
  • Analysis and reporting of agreed packaging CSF KPIs for the Packaging team.
  • Management of the quality non conformance process for Packaging Buying through to resolution.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an FMCG / manufacturing background within Supply Chain, ideally procurement. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with stock management systems are essential. Excellent cross functional communication, strong stakeholder relationship building, high organisation, keen eye for detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and process compliance are required.
