  • Saturday & Sunday: 3 hours per day (flexible timing)

We are looking for a nurturing, empathetic and reliable Personal Assistant to support J, a teenager with PTSD, anxiety, and emotional difficulties.

J is warm and caring, but she experiences high levels of anxiety and takes time to build trust with new people.

You'll play a key role in helping her feel safe and supported, especially in social situations.

About the Role: This is not a standard care role.

We're seeking someone with experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and/or self-harming behaviours.

You will need to offer emotional support and be a calm, consistent presence in J's life.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing emotional reassurance and companionship
  • Supporting J with accessing the community and social activities (e.g. swimming, bowling, walks, etc.)
  • Helping build J's confidence in social environments

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experienced in trauma-informed care or emotional/mental health support
  • Patient, kind, and naturally nurturing
  • Dog-friendly (one small dog in the home)
  • a car is essential, as J does not use public transport
  • DBS check required

Flexibility: Some flexibility around hours is appreciated.

Weekend timings can be adjusted slightly to suit both parties.

This role may suit someone looking for part-time hours, or a second position alongside other commitments.

Shared Interests: J enjoys swimming, bowling, walking the dog, and bike rides
