About the role

We are currently seeking experienced Overhead Line Technicians (LE1) to join our Power Transmission & Distribution team.

Due to increased project demand, opportunities are available across multiple locations in England and Wales, supporting a range of high-profile infrastructure projects.

This is a hands on, site based role where you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and refurbishing high voltage overhead power transmission lines, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity are consistently achieved.

What you'll be doing
  • Install, build and maintain overhead line systems up to 400kV
  • Carry out key OHL activities including running out conductors, clamping, jointing and spacering
  • Work in line with method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety on site at all times
  • Work collaboratively as part of a gang to deliver operational efficiency across projects
  • Use specialist plant, tools and equipment safely and effectively (including climbing, lifting and fall arrest systems)
  • Support training and mentoring of junior team members where required
Who we're looking for
  • Proven experience in overhead line operations or construction environments
  • Strong understanding of the power transmission industry
  • Ability to work at height and in physically demanding conditions
  • Commitment to health, safety and quality standards
  • Flexibility to travel and work across the UK as required
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • OHL authorisations and plant tickets
  • Emergency First Aid certification
