Job Description:

Startech Networks, Inc. is seeking an experienced OSP Field Engineer with US Work Authorization to join our team in Missouri. The successful candidate should have a thorough understanding of AT&T-related OSP Wireline processes and guidelines. This is a 1099 contract position based on Fielding Unit pay.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Understand and perform scoping of OSP-related projects.
  2. Manage customer, vendor, and project communications effectively.
  3. Design, provision, and document outside plant fiber optic cable (underground, aerial, and buried).
  4. Understand manhole and conduit design.
  5. Read and interpret work prints from drafting systems like AutoCAD and ARAMIS.
  6. Take field notes following OSP design principles; transferring notes into KMZ files is a plus.
  7. Knowledge of Google Earth is a plus.
  8. Understand pole loading and ROW permit requirements.
  9. Familiarity with FTTx and AT&T GPON design is a plus.
  10. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  11. Willing to travel for short business trips and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends.
  12. Manage multiple projects efficiently, tracking work deadlines and expectations.
  13. Be organized and capable of multitasking effectively.
