About Baringa

We set out to build the world's most trusted consulting firm - creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector. You'll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick - slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges. We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world - from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.

We're looking for experienced management consultants to join our growing Organisation Design capability - a core part of our Organisational Effectiveness & Agility team.

We work with organisations to redesign how they are structured, how decisions get made, and how work gets done - helping them align with strategy, reduce costs, build agility, and future-proof their workforce. Our insight-led approach is powered by our proprietary Baringa Organisation Design Framework (BODF) and tools like Orgvue, enabling us to deliver measurable outcomes across sectors including energy, government, financial services, and consumer goods.

What you will be doing

As a Senior Consultant focused on Organisation Design, you'll work across the full design lifecycle - from strategy and diagnostics through to implementation and transition. This includes:

  • Shaping target operating models, organisational structures, and decision-making frameworks aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Delivering organisation diagnostics using data on spans, layers, costs, and performance - and translating insights into design options.
  • Facilitating co-design sessions to explore future structure scenarios, roles, and capabilities - supported by design principles and strategic trade-offs.
  • Leading or supporting the development of workforce transition plans, change impact assessments, and internal OD capability uplift.
  • Integrating organisation design with broader transformation programmes, workforce planning, and technology enablement.
  • You'll work closely with senior stakeholders - from C-suite to HR and transformation leads - and be part of teams that leave behind capability, not just a PowerPoint deck.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders - from C-suite to HR and transformation leads - and be part of teams that leave behind capability, not just a PowerPoint deck.

Your skills and experience

You'll bring a mix of consulting capability, organisation design knowledge, and a practical mindset:

  • Experience delivering or supporting organisation design and operating model projects, ideally within a consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of core OD tools and methods: job architecture, spans and layers, decision rights, role design, and capability mapping.
  • Understanding of OD and People Analytics technology platforms (e.g. Orgvue, Visier, Nakisa, ADO, Workday) and their role in enabling design and planning decisions.
  • Comfort working with data - both qualitative and quantitative - to inform current state diagnostics and size/cost modeling.
  • Ability to simplify complex problems, build relationships quickly, and navigate ambiguity with confidence and curiosity.

Bonus if you also bring:

  • Exposure to transformations in regulated industries or large, matrixed organisations.
  • Experience embedding governance structures to manage ongoing OD decisions and sustain performance.
  • A coaching approach that builds client capability and trust throughout the engagement.
