Order to Cash Manager, Europe (6 months contract position)

Cytokinetics is a specialty cardiovascular biopharmaceutical company, building on its over 25 years of pioneering scientific innovations in muscle biology, and advancing a pipeline of potential new medicines for patients suffering from diseases of cardiac muscle dysfunction. The OTC Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end Order-to-Cash operations (in partnership with the 3PL), including customer master data, order management, billing, collections, cash application, dispute management, credit management, and process improvement initiatives. The role ensures timely cash collection, minimizes bad debt exposure, and supports working capital objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Order to Cash Operations
  • Manage end-to-end OTC processes across multiple countries or regions (in partnership with the 3PL).
  • Process all required journal entries during the month-end closure period and provide proper balance sheet account reconciliations, including open accounts receivable positions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, SOX requirements, and accounting standards.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Manage VAT Finished Goods shipments/transactions for all existing shipping lanes and cross-country interactions.
  • Prepare monthly reports with position overview on customer, country and product level.
  • Collaborate with US Finance team on all questions related to booked entries.
• Working Capital & Cash Flow
  • Drive reduction in Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Improve collection effectiveness and overdue debt performance.
  • Monitor cash forecasting and collection targets.
  • Reduce bad debt and write-offs.
  • Reconcile open cash position against customer by country and sku.
• Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Commercial, Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, FP&A, and Accounting teams.
  • Act as escalation point for key customer disputes and collection issues.
  • Build relationships with strategic customers and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 7-10 years relevant experience.
• ERP experience (Oracle).
• Advanced Excel.

This is a contractor role with the potential to convert to an FTE position after 6-12 months.
