Role

The Oracle Fusion Training Lead is accountable for the end-to-end training strategy and delivery for Oracle Fusion across SGN, covering core business users, Business Shared Services (BSC), operational colleagues and other impacted functions.

The role ensures that training is role-based, relevant and effective, aligned to business processes, system configuration and deployment waves, and coordinated with wider SGN change and transformation initiatives.

The role plays a critical part in ensuring that users are competent, confident and ready to operate Oracle Fusion safely and effectively from day one.

We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here's how you will contribute

Responsibilities

  • Training Strategy & Alignment: Develop the Oracle Fusion training strategy to ensure the successful adoption of new business processes by SGN employees.

  • Ensure the strategy continues to meet evolving needs across deployment waves.

  • Lead the creation of, and own, the detailed training plan, ensuring alignment with the program plan.

  • Align the detailed training plan with other SGN programmes to maintain coherence and prevent duplication.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational and governance requirements.

  • Apply lessons learned from previous transformation programmes.

Role-Based Training Needs Analysis

  • Lead a structured Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required for each role impacted by Oracle Fusion.

  • Engage Process Owners, functional teams, BSC and operational areas to validate role impacts and training requirements.

  • Define clear, role-specific learning requirements based on confirmed process and system changes.

  • Maintain and update a training needs matrix aligned to business roles, deployment waves and evolving design decisions.

Training Design & Content Coordination

  • Ensure all training materials align with SGN's training standards, quality expectations and learning design principles.

  • Incorporate and adapt Oracle out-of-the-box training content wherever appropriate to maximise reuse and maintain consistency with standard Fusion functionality.

  • Collaborate with internal and third-party IT and business deployment teams to ensure materials reflect finalised processes, system configuration and approved Oracle Fusion customisations.

  • Accountable for maintaining training materials, ensuring they remain current as designs, processes and configurations evolve, and that updates are delivered in a timely and controlled manner.

Training Delivery & Enablement

  • Plan, deliver and track training across diverse user groups and deployment waves to ensure employees gain the capability and confidence to operate Oracle Fusion effectively from day one.

  • Use the most effective delivery formats (instructor-led, virtual, e-learning, job aids) to maximise learning retention and minimise operational disruption.

  • Build sustainable capability by enabling super users and local champions to provide ongoing support and knowledge reinforcement within their teams.

  • Ensure training readiness is fully aligned with business readiness and go-live milestones to reduce risk and ensure a smooth transition to new processes and systems.

Effectiveness Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

  • Measure training effectiveness against defined success criteria to confirm that users can perform required tasks to the expected standard.

  • Gather and analyse participant and stakeholder feedback to identify strengths, gaps and emerging risks.

  • Identify capability gaps or adoption risks early and recommend targeted corrective actions to protect business continuity and operational performance.

  • Continuously refine training approaches based on outcomes, feedback and post-go-live insights to drive higher adoption, improved user experience and long-term process maturity.

What you will need

  • Over 15 years' experience in training development and delivery for large-scale ERP or Oracle Fusion programmes, including regulated and operationally critical environments.

  • At least 5 years' experience developing training strategies for major transformation or system-change programmes.

  • Strong capability in designing and delivering role-based training across multiple business functions and diverse workforces (field-based and office-based).

  • Proven experience collaborating with system integrators, functional teams and third-party training providers to produce accuracy, high-quality learning content.

  • Ability to translate complex processes, role impacts and system configuration into clear, engaging and accessible learning materials.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills, supported by a highly organised, detail-focused and data-driven approach to evaluating training effectiveness and driving continuous improvement.
