Oracle OCI Technical Consultant - European Oracle EBS Implementation
Location: Remote - From EU/UK
Rate: £650
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: 6 months
We are looking for an experienced Oracle OCI Technical Consultant on a 6-month contract to join a major European Oracle E-business Suite (EBS) implementation and play a crucial oversight role.
The Oracle OCI Technical Consultant will act as the technical bridge between our customer's stakeholders and the Systems Integrator (SI), you will be responsible for ensuring that what is being developed and delivered truly meets the business's needs and is fit for purpose. This role requires someone who can confidently challenge the SI, provide assurance on the quality of their work, and instil confidence among stakeholders that the right technical decisions are being made.
The Systems Integrator currently manages the customer's Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Database Management, and elevated Application Management, but as it stands, they are effectively marking their own homework. Your role will be to provide independent technical oversight, ensuring that all aspects of the Oracle environment from ExaGrid and database capacities through to OCI performance and configuration are being properly managed, optimised, and aligned with best practice. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex issues into clear, actionable insights and ensuring that the implementation remains robust, efficient, and aligned with strategic goals.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a solid and demonstrable technical background across Oracle OCI and EBS, coupled with a deep understanding of Oracle database architecture, Exadata/ExaGrid infrastructure, and OCI capacity management. You'll be confident in holding partners to account, reviewing, and validating technical designs, and identifying risks or inefficiencies before they impact delivery. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with both technical teams and senior business leaders to maintain clarity and control across the program.
This role requires someone who can start quickly; therefore, applicants should have availability to suit a quick start.
