Job Description
About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our busy Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, funding, and delivery of infrastructure required to support growth across the area.

You will contribute to the delivery of a significant infrastructure programme, supporting projects identified within the Council's Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP), with a combined value of approximately £300 million.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the delivery of infrastructure projects and programmes within the Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP)
  • Monitor, track, and report on project and financial data, including developer contributions
  • Prepare income forecasts and support funding strategies for infrastructure delivery
  • Maintain and analyse data systems relating to infrastructure projects and funding
  • Support the review and preparation of key documents, including the IDP and Charging Schedule
  • Coordinate and support governance processes, including meetings, reporting, and decision-making
  • Engage with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to support infrastructure planning and delivery
  • Promote the work of the Infrastructure Planning Team both internally and externally
About You

We are looking for someone who can manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment. You will have strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to support complex projects and programmes.

Essential Requirements
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Town Planning, Regeneration, Surveying, Business Management, or Finance/Accounting)
  • Experience in planning, infrastructure delivery, or a closely related field
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Experience supporting projects, programmes, or financial management
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
Desirable
  • Experience with developer contributions (e.g. CIL and Section 106)
  • Eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RTPI, RICS, RIBA)
  • Experience working within a local authority or public sector environment
