- Work Model: Fully onsite
- Minimum 4 years' experience in an Optical Network Operations/Support role
- Proven experience with the rollout and operations of large DWDM networks and optical network technologies
- experience using optical planning and modelling tools
- Strong experience troubleshooting DWDM and optical systems
- Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
Candidates should have significant experience across many of the following:
- Optical & Transport: DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48)
- Layer 2/Switching: 802.2/3, 802.1d, VLANs, STP
- Networking & Routing: IPv4, IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF
- High Availability & Multicast: HSRP, GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP
- Security & Access: TACACS, IPSEC, VPNs
- Monitoring & Services: NetFlow, DNS, HTTP
