CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent

SALARY: £16.04 per hour

Hargreaves Industrial Services is a leading provider of contract operation and maintenance services. We are contracted to provide permanent operations on behalf of Enfinium at their energy from waste facility at Kelvin, West Bromwich.

We are looking to recruit Operators to work as part of our team on site. As an Operator you will enjoy working in a team environment, demonstrate a willingness to learn and will always be reliable and presentable.

The work will involve working on a rotational basis during Monday - Friday with every 6th Saturday morning being part of the rota. All shifts are of 8 hour duration, consisting of early and mid day start times. Full training and site induction will be provided. Overtime is available.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mobile plant (including front end loading shovel, telehandler, forklift truck)
  • Coordinate deliveries of waste into the tipping area (deliveries arrive by HGV), ensuring safety compliance is maintained at all times
  • General cleaning of the tipping area
  • Operation of weighbridge
  • Operate the waste crane
  • Accept deliveries of other bulk materials used in the energy from waste process
  • Movement of skips using fork truck
  • Support the daily operational activities of the energy from waste plant
  • Attend training as and when required
  • Comply with all safe working practices as instructed
Qualifications and Skills
  • Positive attitude and understanding of Health & Safety on an industrial site
  • Experience of or qualification to NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) level for the operation of mobile plant. (Even if your current training has expired, refresher training can be provided)
  • A strong team player
  • Preferably in possession of recognized safety qualifications (e.g., CITB or IOSH)
  • Ability to learn to operate weighbridge computer software, as necessary
  • Good timekeeping and willingness to work overtime as necessary
