Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to join the team:

The role is looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to support the delivery of multiple maintenance contracts across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role involves supervising a larger team of engineers and operatives across the South Wales, North Wales, Birmingham, London and South West regions, travelling and overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring contractual compliance, and maintaining high service standards across all sites.

This role requires a flexible person who has a strong background in facilities or maintenance services, with proven team leadership, contract administration experience, and a commercial mindset focused on service quality and profitability.

The Role:
  • Oversee the operational delivery of multiple maintenance contracts across various client sites.
  • Supervise, support, and coordinate a wider team of engineers, operatives, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure PPM schedules, reactive works, and remedial actions are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet service level agreements and manage priorities across contracts.
  • Monitor job progress, staff performance, and client satisfaction, addressing any issues proactively.
  • Act as the main point of escalation for operational issues across contracts, ensuring swift resolution.
  • Support the mobilisation of new contracts, ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, H&S regulations, and client-specific requirements.
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly invoicing, including supporting documentation, in line with completed works.
  • Maintain acceptable profitability across contracts by managing costs, monitoring labour/productivity, and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of quotes, remedial conversions, and accurate costings.
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and contract records in line with audit and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with Contracts Managers and senior leadership to drive service quality, operational performance, and financial health.
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a supervisor or operational role within the facilities, maintenance, or engineering sector.
  • Experience managing teams across multiple contracts or client portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of PPM, reactive, and remedial maintenance workflows.
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and profitability.
  • Strong understanding of invoicing processes and ability to compile accurate weekly invoicing data.
  • Comfortable using CAFM systems and internal optimisation tools (e.g., scheduling platforms, asset registers, etc.).
  • Strong Contract Administration skills with an understanding of contract law and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities to manage varying priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, able to motivate teams and liaise effectively with clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with reporting dashboards and operational KPIs.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Technical or trade background (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical discipline).
  • IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience working with retail, healthcare, or multi-site clients is advantageous.
