The Operational Risk, Controls and Resilience team (Operations) is looking for a dynamic individual that wants to help us shape and redefine our resilience and control environment to build an Operations function that has resilience at its heart.

What yo u ' l l be doing:

While there is no "typical" day in this role, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Maintaining the BAU of Operational Resilience and Coordination of Remediation Work:

• Take the lead on coordinating ongoing remediation efforts, working across multiple teams to ensure identified lessons learned and remediation initiatives are successfully implemented.

• Support the facilitation of Operational Resilience exercises and testing workshops, as well as

• Manage all aspects in delivering (i.e. drafting, preparing for sign-off and the successful submission) Sompo's annual Self-Assessment Document.

• Operational Resilience Reporting:

• Oversee the delivery of monthly resilience MI to support relevant governance committees (e.g. ORSC/TPRM SteerCo)

• Capture, analyse, and report risks and incidents, while providing impactful reporting dashboards as part of our monthly reporting.

• Resilience Optimisation Requests:

• Assist with the delivery of resilience optimization initiatives (e.g. as part of Sompo's transformation strategy)

• Follow up and support the completion of identified change initiatives and remediation tasks in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Be the Operational Resilience Champion

• Champion enterprise resilience awareness and assist with the implementation of effective resilience processes and monitoring.

• Ensure that operational resilience is embraced and embedded throughout the organization, aligning Sompo's approach with market standards and the regulatory change landscape (including developments within the Third-Party Risk Management space).

• A strong understanding of the UK Operational Resilience Framework, including experience and preparing and delivering annual Self-Assessment Documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven track record of delivering organisation-wide remediation programmes, including the management of resolution requirements (i.e. risk acceptance, escalation, controls attestation etc.)
• A decent understanding of operational risk and supporting controls
• Strong analytical skills and a naturally curious mind
• Love being organized and balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Can convey complex messages and concepts simply, focusing on core issues and actionable recommendations.
• A good problem solver and influencer.
